River Valley Humane Society
Imagine a world where all dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are in safe, loving homes.
By eliminating dog and cat overpopulation this we can achieve.
Spay Neuter Transport
Using our own vehicles, RVHS volunteers are proud to provide Spay/Neuter Transportation assistance for cats and dogs.
We work with citizens needing assistance by using our traps to humanely capture frightened cats in rural, underserved areas. In the summer of 2017, we provided trapping and transportation assistance for 400 cats. A percentage of animals will have serious health issues, which are treated.
Spay Neuter programs aimed at assisting pet owners and caregivers include the Harrison County Spay Neuter Assistance Program and Crawford County Spay Neuter Assistance Program.
River Valley Humane Society also financially assists those who cannot afford the full cost of spay neuter services. We depend on fundraisers and donations to provide transportation and spay neuter financial aid.
We welcome volunteers and we can use donations of sheets, blankets, towels.
